Don and I have just spend 4 weeks in a van around europe. The Tom Tom has been the best investment we could have bought with us It will take you all over Europe with no toll roads or you can do the toll roads. But the fun was all the back roads and the fun we had. Just amazing loved everything about the Tom Tom World

Have just received my 4th Tom Tom GO2050World and it doesn't work. It was a replacement for the last one that didn't work from day 1. It just wont load up and they tell me it's rare but I'm now on my 4th-doh. Liars

bought 2050 World a week before going to France for 3 weeks. it wouldn't bring up any maps except Australia!! Still can't find a manual to find out how it works - even on the TomTom website. $450 wasted.

I've heard really good comments about the TomTom product, so I purchased it.
I found it good in terms of unit size and easy mounting, but it failed completely on directions, especially in Sydney where it failed to find George Street. Also it showed incorrect speed limit on multiple road.
Good to show your own speed, but perhaps it wasn't the most important.
In comparision to Navman it failed.

I've just purchased a GO LIVE 2050 after owning a GO 720 for the last 5 years. In the short space of time I've had it, I've found it "amazing !!! Easy to use & operate & just love the bigger 5" screen. Also a great improvement on the windscreen holder compared to my old GO 720 holder !!!

What a great Tom Tom unit,took it to Canada and it never missed a beat would like to recommend this unit to everyone that travels .I never had a problem getting to were i wanted to go felt safe and was never late thank you Tom Tom

I have tried several GPS systems and the Tom Tom Go Live is by far the most accurate and reliable one I have used.
The multiple lane feature, Live updates, ability to search for places on the Go Live so that I get to the exact location is a godsend. No more having to go to my mobile and wait for the web download before entering correct address. The live feature for radar is brilliant.
Day and evening viewing makes it easier to navigate. The blue tooth synced with mobile phone, enabling hands free phone conversations gives clear audible talking without the worry of not being able to take a call whilst driving.

It offers several choices to the type of route preferred. However, it does not offer the option to stay on main highways as a preference. When Tomtom says turn left and the big trucks don't, then follow the trucks. I also found the maps inaccurate in many towns suggesting a turn which would not be legal. It's not perfect but it's still worth the money.

First the bad! No device to connect to 240 volt household outlet, also being a world edition, it probably should come with world electrical adaptors.My sons 910 world came with better voices (eg john clease)It also should come with at least 2 lots of map updates.Now the good, a brilliant piece of technology. Large enough to be in front of passenger pointed to driver so driver can glance at gps.Once familiar with gps easy to use and go between world maps.What it is like overseas in foreign countries, I can tell you in 4 months time. Highly recommended.

It was difficult for the average older IT person to download your selected country and also to understand the device, but having said all of this I am looking forward to my overseas trip and having a TOM TOM

Travelled Spain with a well know GPS,many discrepancies were shown,then travelled France and UK with the Tom Tom and it was a real pleasure,responsive and fast at procesing my mistakes,Highly recommended
