I bought the GO 2535 TM model because I have a couple of friends that have this and they said they were pleased. I am hating this system. It is not easy to use, I'm not getting spoken street names and it can't update the maps. I've even left it plugged into my laptop over night and still nothing. You have to have a doctorate in computer science to even begin to understand how to upgrade. And when you write for help you get an automated response. If I had known this I would have just bought the lower priced model and forgotten about the updates. I may just put this on ebay and get something else.

My experiance with this model.

I regret purchasing this GPS. I didn't realize it didn't have an SD card slot for expansion and I had nothing but problems downloading and installing the updates, it kept saying I didn't have enough room to update it, the community updates worked fine until I was finally, with the help of tom tom's support able to download the version 9 map update, now I have a major problem connecting at all to the service, and I can't download any of the community updates any more, after the version 9 update it has a problem booting up. As far as I am concerned this is not anywheres near worth the cost, it is now in pieces in the trash. Needless to say I got majorly ticked off after messing with this for months trying to get it to work right.

I bought this device because I was about to travel to Europe and wanted a device that had memory space bothe for Europe, USA and Brazil. After buying it, somehow my lifetime maps code became attached to another Tomtom account I have (I have 3 devices, and TomTom obliges me to have 3 emails to manage them...) so I had a bit of a hassle until Tomtom support sorted that out (about 2 months coming and going...). But then I found out that I have the Brazil, USA and Europe maps, all in one device, but TomTom have not developed the safety camera software for MyTomTom yet, and have no idea when they will. So I have lost one of the features I realy liked about Tomtom... No safety cameras... Mind you, they did give me a one time off security camera download for the USA and Europe maps, but now MyTomTom tells me it is out of date and that I don´t have a subscription (although elsewhere on th site TomTom says that safety cameras are are for free...).

The only drawback is the anytime I update my map, I lose my favorites. Please for the love of god, save my favorites and after the udpate, add it back again. If TomTom does not have a coder, then I will write a code for them.

Lifetime Maps doesn't mean lifetime of maps.

"Lifetime Maps" does not include the european maps.
But you don't find that out until you open the box and read the tiny print. This after waisting months trying to update anything.
My advice: If you buy anything from TomTom. Read the fine print sealed inside the box. Because Lifetime of map updates doesn't mean you are going to get them. Also please tell us the name of the road we are turning on! Don't keep it a secret.

I just upgraded to the 2535 from my old TomTom because my wife and I wanted it for travel in Greece and Italy. Overall, the device is very easy to use, especially if you are already familiar with the TomTom system. We used it yesterday for a driving trip from Athens to Arcadia on highways and through the countryside. The map that came with the device does not include some of the latest construction on the national highway (A7), including some changes to the exit locations, so we were sometimes "off the road." On the other hand, we forced it to take us to a destination that had no major highway, and it was absolutely accurate on every little village road, some just barely paved. GPS reception was very good, even in the mountains. We were very glad we had it, and would buy it again. Location of traffic cameras and gas stations were accurate, except for recent changes. The magnetic connection and the improved window suction cup are terrific. A few quibbles (see above), but a great device.

GO 2535 TM WTE is a nice product. I like the magnetic connection and magnetic hookup cable. Screen display is wide and great. Storage capacity is also increased from previous owned TomTom GPS devices. Updates are received via My TomTom application that is a web base application. Sometime due to TomTom server communication problem, download has to be done once or twice. Overall a far better product.

TomTom Needs to Join the 21st Century

First of all, I gave it a 2 Star rating for the following reasons:
1. You lose your favorites everytime you update the map, which is 4 times a year. Come on, can't TomTom save our favorites in the cloud before updating and then pull the information back down? The whole process could be painless for us end users if we didn't lose our data every 3 months, or remember to back it up before we kick off the updates. Cloud storage would make it simple to share my favorites from one device to another.
2. You can only associate one email address to one TomTom device. Having multiple devices, it becomes a pain in the rear when it comes to update time. Log in and log out using multiple accounts for each associated device. I guess TomTom doesn't think we can own multiple devices.
3. The lifetime map updates are not for the European maps. So if you travel to Europe or live there like I do and millions of other Americans, you have to pay for new maps. We serve in the Armed Forces to protect our country and we can't get free updates of the European maps without paying. I'll just return this to the store and get my money back.

I like the features of the GO 2535TM which is superior to my prevoius GO920. I had problems with my traffic warning feature which had to be replaced shortly after I have purchased the unit.

TOMTOM ALWAYS WAS MY FAVORITE GPS, THIS MODEL ( 60 2335 ) HAVE MORE FEATURES THEM I EXPECT. I LOVE THE BLUETOOTH TECNOLOGY AND THE NEW MOUNT MAGNETS... THERES NO EASY WAY TO CONECT MY DEVICE THAN THAT. IM SO HAPPY WITH MY NEW TOMTOM.

Disappointed that there is no indicator on the screen to tell me which direction I am heading, either by "N" "NE" etc or digital heading. This was a feature on my 8 year old model One and it's not on the "better" one. Otherwise very nice product. Great screen size and voice activation is good.

I would have given 5 stars if the product was fast enough. Its slow when calculating route. If missed a turn then you definitely will need to slow down for it to finish its calculations. My phone's calculation is at-least 5 times faster than this along with the traffic calculation.

This is my 11th GPS unit. I like the 5" screen, but I do not like that it has a glossy mirror surface. Many reflections makes it hard to see the screen. Tom Tom is a good GPS product line, but there are features lacking on the model such as: multi-point trip planning and a more flexible mount for restricted windshield areas.
A suggestion for all users and the writers of the Manual, NEVER PROGRAM HOME AS YOUR ACTUAL GPS HOME ADDRESS! If your car is stolen and the unit is in the car, you have directed the thief to your home and with the garage door opener programed in the car, they have keys to your home as well.
